Let the countdown begin...

I normally don't do countdowns. Mainly because then I am VERY aware of how much time is left in whatever it is I'm counting down. Like this pregnancy when I didn't tell anyone until I was 6 months or so and now I only have 7 weeks left. It's pretty exciting. But that is NOT what I am counting down. Oh no. You see, in 10 days my husband will be HOME! I am pretty dang excited about this. He always has the funniest stories about the other guys in his platoon. I try and keep up by telling him what the BabyBee is doing but that BabyBee is not very aware that they are competing and our stories always end up being overshadowed by WorkerBee's. Dang it all! BabyBee had a hearing test and got his tubes checked out by his doctor and it turns out that he has excellent hearing. He also is extremely gifted at ignoring people! The nice lady doing our hearing test pointed out that BabyBee got distracted and although he wouldn't turn his whole head to where the sound was coming from he would briefly glance over with just his eyes and then decide it was too boring to be involved with. Pretty silly. BabyBee has also just entered into that phase of "I don't care if you think I might hurt myself I will do it anyways". And let me tell you, he already has some battle scars. A couple of days ago he was using a laundry basket as his walker and it got stuck so I, being the concerned and nice mama that I am, decided to reach down and un-stick him. Bad idea. He thought I was bending over to pick him up and moved his arms away and started to try to lift his feet which resulted in him face planting onto the floor. He now has a lovely scratch across the entire right side of his nose. Then yesterday morning I had to wake him up early to get ready for his hearing test. I think he was just a little disoriented and still groggy from being woken up because when I reached around him to grab a diaper he lunged off my bed onto the floor. He didn't cry. Just sat up and looked dazed and confused as to how he had gotten there in the first place. Poor kid. As for ME things are going good. I am getting more and more swollen as the days go by but only in my ankles. Which makes it a little difficult to pivot to see if BabyBee is being naughty. Oh well! 10 more days till my guys are reunited!!
